I am going to monitor the first year progress with a yearly MRI and compare them and record any new symptoms or abnormalities. I am still going to exercise, eat better, juice and take my vitamins in conjunction and create a document to track my progress so I know what works best for me, why, and be able to show those things to my doctors.
I found The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Depression by Kirk D. Strosahl, PH.D. a useful guide to cognitive therapy techniques. The book contains a CD with downloadable worksheets and guided meditations.
Fitness is important when preparing for prostatectomy surgery. Upper body strength is important. This strength will assist when the need to maneuver in and out of bed, or sitting and then positioning correctly to stand up. Building your chest and arm strength will be a plus for your healing process.

Catheter bags: The big bag is great 4 overnight & walks. Walks - put it in a tote bag to disguise it. The leg bag will slide down by the weight of the urine & also feels like a fist against your leg. The weight pulls it down & pulls the tube down from your penis. The leg bag is good when simply sitting around the house or going out to eat.
Catheter bag: Make the decision from the start which leg to wear the bag. If you sleep on the left side of the bed, the bag should go on your left leg. repetition from the start will make it easy to remember. Putting it on the wrong leg just makes for more time spent with on and off.
